This Week at Wired

This Week at Wired - We played it Old School

Hello again Wired fans, and welcome to your weekly round up of everything from the world of Wired! As always there's a lot to cover, so let's get to it!

An 8-bit Avicii Tribute

Nintendo Switch owners were given an extra Avicii tweet this week in the form of a secret cheat code that unlocks a special 8-but version of 'Wake me up' with thematically appropriate visuals to boot!

The track was created in combination with the fantastic musical talents of The 8-bit universe (who you should totally check out by visiting their YouTube channel here!)

Safe In Our World Charity Auction

Our charity auction raffle for a custom white Avicii themed Switch-Lite is still underway!

So far you have raised over £1000 for Safe In Our World with your raffle entries - which is absolutely fantastic! But there is still plenty of time to enter!

Raffle entries are available to purchase for just £5, with every single penny raised being donated to Safe In Our World, the video games mental health charity. The winner will receive a custom Nintendo Switch-Lite console and copy of AVICII Invector: Encore Edition.

Delivering an audio award!

The team at KeokeN interactive won the Best Sound Design for an indie game from the G.A.N.G awards for Deliver Us The Moon!

This week the trophy finally arrived at the KeokeN offices and they displayed it proudly alongside the newly released Deluxe Edition of the game!

The award is thoroughly deserved and we couldn't be prouder fo the team for deliver an incredible game that has quickly become a Wired fan favourite.

The Falconeer Beta Preview

The Falconeer Beta is soaring ever closer, and this week the team over at Windows Central Gaming had an early hands on with the Beta build.

They enjoyed their time in the Ursee so much that they decided to make a video detailing their experience!

If that has got you suitably excited you'll want to make sure that you've joined The Falconeer Discord and registered your interest in joining the Beta!

A GRIPping tease...

The masterminds behind our thrilling combat racer - GRIP, shared a curious picture this week, seemingly showing of a new method of flying your colours with a smooth gradient paint job!

We would hope this would stop Gary creating monstrosities like his lime green and electric pink warlander you'll often see him sporting during community race days - however in his own words :

"I will not apologise for art, those paint jobs aren't even my final form"

Oh dear.

That does it for this week - plenty to get excited about!
Keep an eye on our socials to catch updates as they happen!
